WHAT: Bridge-2-Beach Clean Up
WHERE: Franklin High School
3013 S. Mt. Baker Blvd., Seattle, WA, 98144
WHEN: May 4, 2019, 9:00am-1:00pm
Every year since 2008, the community has turned out to host and participate in neighborhood clean-up projects from picking up garbage to weeding/gardening to freshening up paint where needed in public spaces. “Bridge 2 Beach” (B2B) takes place this year on the same day as our usual ‘First Saturday’ clean-up, on Sat., May 4 (9 AM!).
This year for B2B we’ll meet in three locations—Franklin High School (front steps), the Pepsi Cola Co., and our regular spot by the water ox mural at Hoa Mai Preschool. Come join the effort! Bring your friends, family, and neighbors!
We’d like to take this opportunity to give a shout-out to Suzy LaViolette and Alan Mooresbids, two of our devoted ‘First Saturday’ Clean up friends. Suzy and Alan will be moving to Denver in the next few months. Thank you for all the hard work helping us clean up in the Rainer Valley. We’re so glad that several of us got to meet up with Suzy and Alan at Mioposto Pizzeria for a goodbye toast last Thursday. Farewell, Suzy and Alan! You will be missed!
Here’s to a super fun and productive B2B 2019! We hope to see you out there. Bring your friends, family, and neighbors!
