Starting at Franklin High (Mt. Baker Boulevard) volunteers will work to beautify and strengthen the connections between the high school and surrounding neighborhoods. We will move down the hill into the Mount Baker Hub / transit area, and then work our way to up to the Hanford steps and Cheasty forest, which is our link to Beacon Hill. Please join us for this fabulous, fun, FRANKLIN TO FOREST cleanup/restoration event. Meet new friends, bring your kids, and have fun on a Saturday morning, serving our community, the greater Rainier Valley, and the planet! Tools, supplies and snacks will be provided.

The first wave of volunteers will meet at 9:00 AM at the front of Franklin High School and will work until approximately 11:30 (or before). We will provide garbage bags, pickers and gloves. Once the street cleanup ends, we will be directing volunteers to the Cheasty Boulevard cleanup which will already be underway and which is located at 3212 25th Ave S, Seattle, WA 98144 . If you want to dig your hands in the dirt, you can do so at that time. You may work as long as you want! You may bring your own work gloves, shovel, rake or snippers.

People (young and old) can get credit for community service but kids should be accompanied by an adult. Refreshments and good company will be on hand. This event proudly sponsored by the Mt. Baker Hub, Friends of Mt. Baker Town Center, Rainier Chamber of Commerce, and City of Seattle in partnership with Wells Fargo.
